A friend of mine, Wanda, has a talent for table arrangements & decorating. Whether its for a party or a wedding, she has a sharp eye for details. I really believe that she could take a twig and mud and arrange them into a 24 carat gold masterpeice.

Lake Bogue Homa
Its not often you get the chance to see what a lake looks like after it has been drained . Lake Bogue Homa was closed in late May of 2007 for repairs to its 75 year old structure. The dam required work on along its slopes ,and on the spillway. With most of the major work done, the lake was refilled, and restocked with fish. Although fishing is not permitted yet, the lake is opened for recreational boating. Families are once again grilling, and playing along the edge of the lake.

Laurel Main Street Festival
Laurel, MS
The City of Laurel held its 13th annual Main Street Festival. The downtown streets were blocked off to allow the vendors and patrons to roam freely without the worry of traffic. The weather was perfect for the occassion, sunny,but not hot, with gentle breezes carrying the aroma of hamburgers, hot sausages, bbq and blooming onions. The event attracted hundreds of people.
